Operated with staff support dedicated by the Rivers Performance Hall Foundation, the Office enhances the Gaillard Center’s mission by providing professional expertise and organizational leadership to identify and invest necessary charitable funds that enrich artistic performances, educational programs, and unforgettable experiences.

INSTITUTIONAL ADVANCEMENT

The Office of Institutional Advancement’s executive team collaborates with the Gaillard Center’s President & CEO, executive staff, board leadership, donors, community partners, and thought leaders who are committed to building, sustaining, and preserving a vibrant culture of philanthropy at the Gaillard Center and elevating the performing arts ecosystem within Charleston and throughout the Lowcountry region of South Carolina.
CHARITABLE GIVING

Annual Giving & Membership provides critical ongoing charitable support to the Gaillard Center by raising funds that support artistic performances, education programs, and general operations.

Major & Principal Giving works closely with donors, patrons, volunteers, and partners to identify meaningful opportunities for philanthropic investment in the Center’s mission to provide unforgettable experiences in the performing arts.

Corporate & Foundation Relations welcomes corporations and foundations to partner with the Gaillard Center by becoming involved in diverse and world-class artistic programs, vibrant community-based and experiential educational programs, community outreach, and other initiatives or events.

Planned & Endowed Giving offers donors an opportunity to achieve their larger philanthropic goals through the Rivers Endowment for Performing Arts and Education. Gifts range from simple beneficiary designations and bequests to life insurance, trusts, charitable gift annuities and real estate.
ADVANCEMENT OPERATIONS

Donor Relations, Communications & Stewardship is responsible for celebrating philanthropy at the Gaillard Center, educating donors about the impact of their giving, recognizing donors’ generosity, and inspiring continued and greater support.

Advancement Services directs prospect research, donor analytics, and database administration to provide data services and infrastructure that support fundraising activities and donor relations initiatives, while also ensuring the responsible and ethical management of donor information.

Financial Services manages gifts processing, records management, and investment administration to provide financial leadership and fiscal management for the Foundation and the Endowment, including annual audit coordination, accounts payable, cash management, and reporting.
